We r having a great time up here in Oban. We have bn 2 many places. When we got here we had a look down the town then on Tues we had another look in the town & up the hill 2 c a tower which looks over Oban with some stunning views over the town & bay with the islands in the background. On Wed we went 2 Sea Life to watch the feeding of the seals & otters. There were many tanks full of all sorts of fishes & crustaceans. On Thur we went on the ferry 2 Mull & took the bus 2 Tobermoray after walking over a mile 2 c Torosay Castle. Friday we went into the hollow mountain 2 c the hydro electric works built in2 the mountain, then in the afternoon we went to Inverarie Jail. That was very interesting. 2day we went over the bridge over the atlantic & on2 the Isle of Seil & over 2 Easdale. Today is the only day really spoiled by the rain as most days we have had sun. Just 1 more day the week has gone 2 fast.The hotel is small & personal. The food is great & we can have more or less what we want within reason. We have had a cooked breakfast every morning & a 3 course meal in the evening. |

Have just finished 2 weeks of hard work. So many of the girls had bn laid off 4 the winter months that there were not enough 2 do all the cleaning. We have bn as busy this last 3 weeks as some of the summer & 6 of us have had as many as 30 vans a day 2 clean. 4 the 2 weeks I worked 3 days & that was enough as it is hard work, next wek I will work only 2 days as I have 2 go 4 my flu jab & on the Saturday we r organising & running the B B Q 4 the fireworks & bonfire. On the Sunday we will b packing & out 2 some frieds 4 dinner then the Mon 9th away 2 Oban 4 some much needed r & r. |

| Writer's Block: Family Matters |

I c it is 4 weeks since I put fingers 2 keys. Aunty Ena & Uncle Dennis r up here 4 a few days. They have a sat nav which led them all over the place. It kept telling them 2 turn off the road & at Gretna they went round in a circle. They rang several times 4 us 2 sort them out and when they arrived here it told them 2 continue 4 6 miles then turn left then right.
We r enjoying some sunshine at the moment although it is cold. We have had no snow & yesterday it was warm enough to work in the garden & have the door open.It is now later in the day & we have had dinner it looks as if there will b a good sunset. We r going 2 have a few days of showing Aunty Ena & Uncle Dennis the delights of Dumfries & Galloway. We will probably go 2 Cream of Galloway as I love ice cream. Will b going in2 Dumfries on Wed & have a Chinese our favorite meal in town. |
